Congratulations Crystal Santos (left with Stephen) for winning the Riding Warehouse saddle pad and gift card!

Larkin Hill boarders/students had a very successful outing on Sunday, May 5th at the Riga Meadow at Coole Park Combined Test down in Millbrook despite the dismal weather and warm up conditions! Everyone persevered and more importantly rode well!!

  • Liz Dailey-McManus had a great first outing on Scribbles (Show name: Because I CAN!) winning a large BN class with a stellar Dressage Test that kept her in first despite a momentary miscommunication at the first fence causing a rail!

  • Susan Heffron did a lovely job with Major for her first time out in many moons finishing 4th on her Dressage score in the same big class! (seen in the pic to the left on the bay)

  • Mark Giandomenico (seen in the photo on the left astride the bay paint) also had a good day on Casey (Show name: Carugo) in the same class, (tactfully dealing with a big strong horse on a cold wet day with no place to move around before the test!) and a clean jump round but a controversial call concerning the finish flags on Stadium (which was a bone of contention throughout the day) sadly resulted in a Technical Elimination but none the less did a good job!

  • A nice 4th place finish for Willa Brown on her cute young TB Dewey (Show name: Let’s Dew It) in Open Novice despite a flat tire on her trailer first thing in the morning! Many thanks to Ryan and Chris etc for helping to get that sorted out! Second after Dressage but an unlucky rail on the last fence!

  • Morgen Bowers had a little bit of a distracted Dressage Test on Molly (Show name: Joya de Esmeralda) but the STAR OF THE DAY in Stadium with a very smooth and CLEAN round! Hoping this is the beginning of a new relationship!!She has Been working very hard for (actually years!) to get the mare to go like that!! Well done Morgen!

  • Lovely Roux (Show name: Denver) tolerated being pulled out of the stall and pushed around in the rain and mud with totally inadequate preparation with yours truly (Margie Hutchison) to pull off a win in Open Novice…what a good boy!
